2026 Spring, J&D Children’s Centre Newsletter 34

The latest update from the Julius & Dora (J&D) Children’s Centre in Maseno, Kenya, brings encouraging stories of resilience, progress and hope from the children and staff who make up this remarkable community.

In Newsletter 34, Spring 2026, Flossie Adoyo — Director and lovingly known as “Mum” to the children — shares heartfelt reflections on the continued growth of the Centre, the educational achievements of many of the young people, and the ongoing challenges faced in caring for vulnerable and abandoned children in Kenya.

This edition highlights the success of several older students who have completed important national examinations and are now preparing for university study, vocational training and future careers. It also introduces a number of newly rescued babies and young children who have recently found safety, care and belonging at J&D. Alongside these stories are moving reminders of the realities many children face — including poverty, abandonment, limited educational resources and healthcare challenges.

Despite these difficulties, the newsletter is filled with gratitude, faith and hope. Through the faithful prayers, generosity and encouragement of supporters, the Centre continues to provide a loving home, education and opportunity for 38 children currently in its care.

We warmly invite you to read the full Spring 2026 Newsletter and continue to keep the children, staff and trustees of the Julius & Dora Children’s Centre in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you to all who continue to support this important work.
